Odisha’s Blind Cricket World Cup Winners Receive Special Honour from MGM Group

Bhubaneswar, 10/12:   Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, CMD, MGM Group, Odisha felicitated four remarkable women cricketers from Odisha who were part of Indian women’s blind cricket team that created history by winning the first-ever Women’s T20 Blind World Cup Cricket.
The Indian women’s blind cricket team created history by winning the first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind, defeating Nepal by seven wickets in the final held in Colombo. The four players from Odisha Phula Saren from Balasore district, and Parvati Marndi, Jamuna Rani Tudu, and Basanti Hansda from Mayurbhanj district who visited the MGM Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar, where they met  Mohanty, Chairman & Managing Director, MGM Group Odisha.
He congratulated them for their outstanding achievement and commended their perseverance, discipline, and inspiring performance on the global stage. He stated that their success has brought immense pride not only to Odisha but also to the entire nation.

As a gesture of appreciation, MGM Group Odisha honoured each of the four players with a cash award of ₹25,000, celebrating their contribution to India’s historic triumph and acknowledging their role as role models for aspiring sportspersons across the State.
