Bhubaneswar,22/09: The Mahulsukha Iron & Manganese Mines of M/s. Rungta Sons Pvt. Ltd. received the Rio Tinto Health & Safety Award 2025-26 from the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI). The award recognizes the company’s efforts towards promoting Health & Safety of their employees as well as the surrounding community.
The award was received on behalf of the company by Lalit Narayan Rout, CGM (HR & CSR) and Sri Bhabagrahi Mohapatra, Sr. GM(P&C) during a glittering function held at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi on 22nd September 2026. The honor was presented by Keshav Chandra, Secretary to the Ministry of Mines and Dr. Veena Kumar D., Addl. Secretary to the Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
The ceremony took place in the presence of several distinguished figures, including: Shantesh Gureddi, President, FIMI. Prabodh Mohanty, Vice President, FIMI. Pramod Tyagi, Secretary General, FIMI.
Additionally, a certificate of appreciation was presented in the name of Lalit Narayan Rout, CGM (HR & CSR) of Rungta Sons Pvt. Ltd., acknowledging his significant contribution and the outstanding performance of the mine.
